After the Philippines, Many Countries in the World Want to Buy W4rships Made in Indonesia

After the Philippines, Many Countries in the World Want to Buy W4rships Made in Indonesia BUMN PAL shipyard PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) after successfully building the BRP Tarlac Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) in the Philippine Navy, said it would continue to explore the ship export market, especially warships.

The Managing Director of PAL Indonesia said the export destination countries explored by the company were Asian and Middle Eastern countries. Even a number of countries have sent people to come to PAL.

"There are already several countries from neighbors such as Asia and the Middle East who are quite interested and they have already had talks with us.

He explained, the potential for warship exports at this time was very wide open. In addition, a number of countries have begun to increase their budgets for spending on major weapon systems.

"Apart from Landing Platform Dock [LPD] types such as SSV, there are two other types of military ships that are also glimpsed by other countries, such as Missile Guard Destruction [PKR] and Fast Missile Ship [KCR]. They have seen that these three types of ships have been used by Indonesian Navy ". he explained.

In addition to exploring the warship export market, PT PAL also plans to explore the potential of foreign markets for the after-sales market. In this case, PAL provides warship repair and maintenance services.

"After-sales are our business potential because there is a maintenance division. For consumers from the Philippines, there needs to be further discussion about after-sale offers," he added.

Previously, PAL Indonesia won an international tender for SSV warships in the Philippines with a project value of US $ 90 million and defeated 8 other participating bidders. PAL Indonesia receives orders for two warships simultaneously.

PAL Indonesia Production Director, Edi Widarto added, the first SSV ax itself currently contains 30% local components. Hopefully in the future the local content used can increase up to 35%. "With the increasing frequency of ship orders like this it is hoped that the domestic ship component industry will be excited," he said.

Indonesia as a maritime country must be able to prove its ability to produce ships to seize the export markets that have been controlled by Korea, Japan and China.

"Now is the right time to take over the world shipping industry. It is hoped that the Indonesian ship industry is ready to go forward and seize the market," he said.

And Indonesia also thanked the Philippines for being an example of the success of Indonesian-made warships, so that other countries were also interested in using warships made by PT. INDONESIA INDONESIA.

Hopefully this news is useful to increase knowledge in the field of military defense.
