An earlier report, hostage-taking incident was taking place at Greenhills Shopping Center. a SWAT team from the Eastern Police District has already been deployed to the area and is just awaiting orders.
San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora is also already in the area.
Citing the police, the report said a former security guard is being considered as suspect in the hostage-taking incident. The suspect reportedly asked other guards to occupy the mall but nobody joined him.
It was not clear how many people were being held by the hostage-taker, the report added.
