Most deaths were a result of ultra/mega charge, being unable to reach the Mafia Boss in time after his spin move, miss timing of the triple mafia charge, or jacked up mafia ball physics.

Aside from the mafia ball physics being really wonky sometimes, this boss is an absolute blast. I don't think I've ever been as calm (and by calm, I mean I was not upset at all aside from the several mentioned times of wonky mafia ball physics, because you better believe every time I was on the last phase my heart was racing faster than the speed of sound) as I have when fighting a boss before. Nearly every death aside from the mafia ball felt like it was my fault. You are allowed to wear hats and other badges for the bonuses. You also are able to do each bonus one a time. I just didn't because why not. I'd recommend using Brewing Hat, for if you need to hit him from a distance, Ice Hat, since it gives you 2 (maybe 1, not sure) iframes via taking a hit for you, or the Projectile Badge, which can be used to hit the Mafia Boss from any distance. Time Stop often can mess with your timing, so I'd recommend just trying to learn the patterns and timings rather than relying on it.
