As the work continues on the Oliver 1850 its time to check the oil in the rear end and see how it looks and how full it is, There are 2 plugs on the back and hopefully its to the top plug. As luck would have it I'm lucky and its full and looking good. Many of the older Oliver dealers would tell you the older 1850 like this one to add an extra bucket of oil to the rear end to make sure its got enough in it . Seams the early ones had a lower oil level in them and I guess they had some problems with them so they added extra oil to them to solve the problem. But the oils is good to go so its time to change the transmission filter and to tell you the truth I think it hasn't been changed in a long time or ever ! But with the oil checked and good and a new filter on it the rear end is ready to go. 2 more things checked off the list of things to do to the Oliver 1850. There's more work to be done but the list has been getting shorter ! LOL I hope you enjoyed watching and maybe learned something new. Bandit
