Reacting to Turning Point USA's One-Sided Video on Cuba

Turning Point USA recently released a video that painted Cuba black. The media, on the other hand, typically paints it white.

Neither of these portrayals, however, tell the whole story. Both are one-sided, politically-motivated, and lack empathy for the Cuban people.

The reality is that Cuba is full of nuance and shades of gray, and there's only one way to demonstrate compassion for the inhabitants of the island.

That way is by understanding Cuba for what it is, objectively observing the situation on the island, and putting forth policies that respect the nuances.

At the end of the day this isn't for political gain or selfish wants - it's to help Cubans build a better Cuba. Turning Point USA failed to show that.
