Zulum lashes soldiers charging commuters N1,000 to pass through checkpoints

On an impromptu visit to Kano-Maiduguri road, Gov Umar Zulum chanced upon a queue of vehicles stopped at a roadblock where soldiers and police officials were charging commuters who did not have a national ID N1,000 before allowing them through the checkpoint. He threatened to report them immediately
