smart EQ fortwo 2020 Goes Electric-Only (ENG) - First Drive and Review

smart EQ fortwo 2020 Goes Electric-Only (ENG) - First Drive and Review The third generation smart has been given a facelift. This is the smart fortwo EQ cabrio. EQ replaces the Electric Drive to fit in with Daimler's electric car naming scheme. The smart is now an electric car only.

Most likely this is the last smart in this form. Daimler and Geely signed a deal, which foresees moving production to China, and developing a B-segment replacement. But that’s something for another episode. And now let’s see, what’s new in the current generation.

The smart as a city car is a great concept. We usually transport empty space around, so one extra seat is enough in most cases. The original smart was only 2.5 metres long, which allowed it to park perpendicular to the curb between larger cars, which parked parallel to the curb.

Starting price: 22 000 euro
