(6 Jan 2020) PHOENIX WOULD NEED TO 'FEEL INSPIRED AGAIN' TO RETURN TO JOKER Don't bet on a "Joker" sequel for Joaquin Phoenix anytime soon.
The actor, who won a Golden Globe award Sunday (5 JANUARY 2020) for his performance in Todd Phillips' blockbuster, seemed annoyed when asked about his work in the film when speaking to press backstage after his win.
"Isn't this old news?" Phoenix asked. "I thought I had been talking about this for six months. Right?"
As for a sequel?
"I don't think that I've ever done too many predictable things," Phoenix said. "So, if that came up, it's not as if we're following some rulebook. It's because we feel inspired again to explore the character more thoroughly. I think the only reason for me to do it."
