You don't need access to expensive equipment to create a varied movement routine that beats boredom and keeps you challenged. Nature provides the only "equipment" you need - hills. Vary intensity by combining hills and flats. Mix things up by including walking, jogging, and running segments...or increase intensity by adding hiking poles...or a pair of labradors to pull/challenge you to speed up hills. As always, listen to your body, and consult a qualified professional if you need guidance.
