The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has been the starting point of several controversies across the country. From student protests in Delhi's Jamia Milia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University to celebrity protests and marches in the heart of Mumbai, CAA has triggered a nationwide outrage. In the midst of all this, the Narendra Modi-led government is seeking assistance fro some of the biggest names in Bollywood, to spread a positive message about CAA.
Reportedly, several Bollywood bigwigs including Karan Johar, Kabir Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, among others, have been invited to a special dinner organised at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt Hotel on Sunday, January 5, to discuss their role in helping propagate a positive message about the CAA.
