NOTE FOR THE PRESS MEET OF CP, RACHAKONDA IN CONNECTION WITH ELECTIONS TO MUNICIPALITIES/MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS -2019-2020 ON 21.01.2020 Ordinary Elections to Urban Local Bodies i.e., Municipalities/Municipal Corporations will be held on 22.01.2020 in Rachakonda Police Commissionerate Limits.
Rachakonda Police Commissionerate consists of (3) Zones, (8) Divisions and (44) Police Stations including (2) Woman Police Stations.
There are (17) Municipalities i.e 16+1 (part) and (05) Municipal Corporations with a total (22), where elections are to be held in (19) Police Stations of (3) Zones of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
There are 470 wards/divisions in 22 Municipalities/Municipal Corporations with about 8.4 Lakh Voters.
Out of 470 wards/divisions, 7 wards/divisions were declared as unanimous.
A total of 1874 candidates are in fray for elections to 463 wards/divisions.

Talking Points :
In view of Elections elaborate bandobust arrangements are being made for free, fair and smooth conduct of elections.
Training was given to the staff up to Constabulary level officer on MCC, other election related issues, etc.
Nodal Officers for each Municipality/Municipal Corporation were allotted for proper co-ordination.
On the day of polling control rooms at Commissionerate, Zonal and Divisional office level are being constituted.
For each Municipality/Municipal Corporation, ACP/ADCP level officer has been appointed as Nodal Officer.
Effective communication setup was being arranged.
Reserve force for DCsP (3) Plts & (1) Sec, Addl.CP (1) Plt, CP (1) Plt and (2) Plts spared has been arranged to meet any emergencies.
QRTs and other necessary teams were arranged.
