In this opinion piece, I address the return of the sexism aimed at Brie Larson once the announcement of Captain Marvel 2 was made by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige in the form of both "SJW Propaganda" and a petition to recast her. I show how the petition tried to disguise itself to have a cause that was more nobler than spewing hatred, display how their ignorance comes back to bite them by only factoring information from Marvel Comics while not factoring the current state of the MCU regarding Monica Rambeau and appearing in the Disney+ show WandaVision -- something that has since made itself prominent post Avengers: Endgame -- and how we can't let the fear of being associated with these individuals keep us from sharing constructive criticism that comes from a genuine and meaningful place.
