Arsenal are being heavily linked with Shakhtar Donetsk's centre-back Mykola Matviyenko. The Ukrainian played against Mikel Arteta's Manchester City twice in the UEFA Champions League and the Gunners' Head Coach is said to be a huge admirer of the 23-year-old.
The Premier League giants have needed to sign a top-quality central defender for as long as we can remember so could Matviyenko be that man? The interest in bringing him to the Emirates Stadium appears to be concrete but Arsenal don't have the funds to do a permanent deal now - that's what we're led to believe anyway.
Time is running-out, can Mikel Arteta get his man before the window slams shut?
