Cash Trapped: Bradley Walsh bowled over by contestant’s record win 'Absolutely brilliant' Bradley Walsh described contestant Anton’s win as “absolutely brilliant” after the player tore through the final round of the quiz, eliminating his rivals and leaving with £11,000 in the fastest time ever recorded on the ITV show. Anton played a blistering The Escape round in the finale of today’s episode, demolishing the other players and setting a new speed record. In this final round one player has the chance to leave with their accumulated jackpot by answering general knowledge questions and freezing other players out of the game within 60 seconds. Usually, hope for the player trying to leave soon fades as other players interrupt with right answers. This time it was as if Anton’s competitors had their buzzers deactivated.  READ MORE Cash Trapped: Bradley Walsh stunned by show first  In less than ten seconds after the clock started, Anton had already frozen two players out. Three players were left when Anton answered a question and 39.1 seconds were left on the clock. In the space of 8.8 seconds, Anton removed the final three players and won his £11,000 jackpot. By finishing the game with 30.3 seconds left on the clock, over half the time allocated for him to play, Anton had set new a show record.  Anton played a near perfect game, only failing to answer one question in six, the other five removing his fellow players from the game. Bradley Walsh was quick to commend him: “Very good. That is great, Anton, well played.” Anton was a little sad to have ripped through the other players, saying: “Sorry guys.” Bradley couldn't hide his admiration for Anton and the rapidity of his trivia deployment.     “Absolutely brilliant. 30.3 seconds. That’s the most time left ever. You wiped out the team in 29.7 seconds. That’s really good. “Well played. I mean, that’s some going, that. Really well played.” Anton himself was rather stunned by what had happened, but when when he joined Bradley on the show floor the host had praise for something else other than his gameplay. “Well done, great job. That hair’s immense.” Trending READ MORE The Chase: Jenny Ryan left red-faced over royal blunder in final chase  Bradley then went on to explain how Anton had set a new record. “Tell you what, you played really well. It was a great performance in The Escape round. Really brilliant. I haven’t been on the show when anyone’s got rid of a team so quickly, so that was really, really well played.” Gracious in victory, Anton said he felt sorry for the other players, and that he couldn’t make sense of his victory. “Unbelievable. I can’t believe it I won it. It just happened that fast, it didn’t make any sense. The questions just fell straight into my lap, a lot of them.” Cash Trapped continues on ITV tomorrow at 5pm.
