Every successful person has a mentor or mentors they bounce thoughts off of. If you are looking to head to success, it is vital for you to seek out the right mentor that not only resonates with you but will push you out of your comfort zone. An effective mentor will embrace your accomplishments but will never let you rest. A good mentor will also push your hot buttons. they will make you mad, want to quit or tell them where they can go. The job of a mentor is always to push you.
what's important to remember...the mentor never hates you. On the contrary, they will push you because they know you want to accomplish whatever it is you desire. On the same token, they take great pride in mentoring. So when you feel angry at them, it comes from this love and desire to help others.
A mentor is essentially a coach. Remember, you will be adopting the traits of a person who was successful as you want to be.
A mentor will not be a mentor to you if they do not see your potential. So, when you select one, keep this in mind. Another thing to remember...they were likely mentored the same way.
