Perhaps a more interesting phenomenon than the immense amounts of talent that entered the league at the same time is the fact that, every so often, it seems like we will see a draft class that is absolutely LOADED with talent rounds 1 through 7, but all at ONE position group.
It seems bizarre that in a given year, the draft would be chock full of talent at any one position – considering the fact that every year, College Football has a TON of stars across the board. But for some reason, there is a significant degree of variation in how the college stars pan out at the next level.
In some cases, the best draft picks strangely weren’t even stars in college. Guys like Josh Jacobs or Alvin Kamara – whose production was limited either by depth at their position on their respective teams or by the system that their coaches deployed.
But either way, the point remains – some draft classes go down in history for the impact its selections at ONE specific position had on the NFL.
There are a few draft classes that stand alone in the NFL history books for this.
