We Have an Expiration Date - A whimsical poem set to music

We Have an Expiration Date - A whimsical poem set to music This is one of our poems from our collection
"Riders of the Hokeypokeylypse...When the Shift Hits the Fan" (available on Amazon)

We have an expiration date
A bit like milk or cheese
A time when we will fade away
Who knows when that will be?

The mold will grow All green and bright
We'll have unpleasant smells
We're heading for the compost bin
And ringing final bell

But as of now the date is blank
And we are fresh and edible
We can choose what we will do
To make our time incredible

We know our time here
May be short
We savor if we can
The mix of life's experience
I'm thankful for the span
