With their initial training at Geyser Rock out of the way, Jak and Daxter set out to collect the twenty power cells needed to power Kiera's zoomer heat shield. To start, they talk to the local villagers to pick up some odd jobs to complete in exchange for power cells and begin collecting the precursor orbs they need in order to pay the extortionate prices that the mayor, Jak's uncle, and a mysterious talking statue are demanding in return for their power cells.
