The 6 Best Credit Cards For Beginners In 2019

The 6 Best Credit Cards For Beginners In 2019 If you want to build your credit score, take note of these six credit cards. Each one of the cards mentioned in this video will have varying benefits and requirements to sign up. Keep in mind that I have no affiliation or commission from the card links below. The cards listed in this video are not in any particular order.

I will leave a quick, but necessary disclaimer here:
I am always hesitant to create videos regarding credit cards because I know that some people will abuse them & find themselves in massive amounts of debt. Please, if you are going to use a credit card, NEVER CARRY A BALANCE on the card.

The moment that you stop paying the entire balance on your card is the moment that you should stop using your credit cards altogether. I have reaped thousands of dollars worth of rewards by properly using my cards. You can too.

6.Capital One Secured Mastercard -
This card is for people who have no prior credit history or for those who have struggled with credit scores in the past. Although this Capital One card may not provide many benefits or perks, it can help you establish a credit score to start your journey.

5. Discover It Secured Card -
Discover cards are a right of passage for anyone looking for their first line of credit. Discover cards seem to be the go-to first card for students and young professionals. Nearly anyone can obtain a secured card through Discover. The company also has superb, domestic-based customer service which adds to the long list of reasons why this makes a terrific first card.

4. Wells Fargo Cash Wise Visa Card
Although this card is listed at number four, it may be my favorite card for beginners. The Wells Fargo Cash Wise Visa Card offers a wide variety of perks, rewards, and bonuses. The only downside to this card is that you will likely need to have established some level of credit beforehand. This Wells Fargo card can make a great second card.

3. Chase Freedom Unlimited
This Chase card offers 3% cashback on all purchases within the first 12 months. Nobody ever became wealthy on credit card points but who would leave 3% on the table? I certainly wouldn’t.

2. Bank of America Travel Rewards Card
The BOA Travel Rewards card may be one of the best options on this list for those who never seem to find the cash to pay for plane tickets etc.. With cards like these, I rarely pay for flights. In fact, I’m flying to Tokyo next month for FREE thanks to a travel rewards card similar to this one. Just make sure that you are using your cards responsibly and not overspending!

American Express Cash Magnet Card
Contrary to popular belief, AMEX cards do not need to be reserved for big-wig business people. American Express offers a variety of no-fee cards that offer 1.5% cashback on all purchases. Like Discover, AMEX has some of the best customer service in the industry.
