Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will address how Singapore should respond to climate change at the National Day Rally on Aug 18. In a Facebook post, he said temperatures for July could go up from 27.8°C now to 31.1°C by 2100. He also noted that, as a low-lying island, Singapore is particularly vulnerable to rising sea levels. Some researchers have said if oceans continue to heat up, Singapore could see its sea levels rise by more than 2.5m by 2100.
