S. Korea express "deep regret" over Japan's decision to officially remove S. Korea from its trade whitelist

South Korea's presidential office expressed "deep regret" over Japan's decision to officially remove Seoul from its list of favored trade partners.
The deputy national security advisor, speaking to reporters on Wednesday said the ball is now in Japan's court,... and that Tokyo should be the one making the decision to roll back its faults.
Going right against the Japanese Foreign Minister's comment earlier that said Seoul needs to know it's impossible to rewrite history,... South Korea's deputy national security advisor said it is Japan that's working to "rewrite history."
The presidential office once again reiterated that the decision to end the military intel-sharing agreement with Japan does no harm to the iron-clad alliance between Seoul and Washington.
