Devendra Fadnavis targeted Shivsena Former CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the Constitution does not provide for reservation on the basis of religion. Shiv Sena should clarify whether it will go against the constitution and approve it. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis said that reservation for Muslims is unconstitutional and will affect the OBC and Maratha reservation. Shivesana should answer this. He has to tell that Shiv Sena has compromised with its ideology and what is there to gain power. The former CM said that there is no provision for reservation on the basis of religion in the Constitution made by Babasaheb Ambedkar. In general category, quota can be given to Muslims only in 10 percent of economically weaker sections. On the other hand, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said that the Congress and NCP are implicating the Shiv Sena by playing the card of Muslim reservation. Shiv Sena has been opposing religion-based reservation before.
