The US Federal Reserve Reveals It's Progress on Central Bank Digital Currency Research!

Reuters reported yesterday on comments made by the Fed Governor Lael Brainard, who said the central bank is analyzing issues such as policy, design, and legal consequences and how they relate to the issuing of it's own digital currency.

Reuters calls it "FedCoin" and while the idea of a US CBDC (central bank digital currency) may have been an office joke over at the Fed for a number of years, the latest trends suggest that world central bank are quickly moving to stake out their future territorial claim over national digital currency systems.
