Hi Everyone! Here's the recipe for my simple jalapeno turkey burgers. This is a great recipe for meal prepping or just whipping up a quick meal. Its simple, but it tastes fabulous. I've also included the recipe for my healthy cranberry relish.
Ingredients and Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 400 Degrees.
For the Burgers (Makes about 16 patties):
- 3 Lbs. Ground Turkey
- 3 Eggs
- 3 Tablespoons Diced Jalapenos
- 1/2 Cup Seasoned Breadcrumbs (Plus Extra to Roll Burgers In)
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Combine all the ingredients making sure not to over mix. Portion out the mixture using a half cup measuring cup. Coat each portion in breadcrumbs and form into the shape of a patty. Once formed, coat the outside of the burger with more breadcrumb.
Add canola oil (or whatever oil you prefer) to a bake stone or tray. Place the burgers on your tray, flipping them so that each burger has oil on both sides. Place the tray in a 400 degree oven. After 10 minutes, flip the burgers and cook for another 10 minutes.
I love these burgers with a sweet potatoe loaded with cheddar cheese and my healthy cranberry relish. Here's the recipe for my cranberry relish:
- 1 Bag 12 oz. Cranberries
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Orange Juice (About 2 Oranges)
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 1.5 Teaspoon Honey
- 1/8 Teaspoon Ground All-Spice
- (1) 3 Inch Cinnamon Stick
Combine all ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and let it come to room temperature or refrigerate until it reaches your desired temperature.
