Generous rabbit owners are the biggest spenders, with over half (55 per cent) opting to gift their bunnies, followed by dog owners (47 per cent) and cat owners (37 per cent). He takes part in all our Christmas rituals, from signing cards with a paw-print to snuggling down to watch Christmas films with us. He even howls along to carols if they come on the telly! "Each year I give Boris a mound of presents including doggie selection boxes, toys and of course his favourite chewy treats. I spend a fortune, but it’s worth it to see his happy face on the day!" Petplan vet expert Brian Faulkner said it's only natural that we celebrate Christmas with our pets. He said: "Leaving a safe and healthy stocking under the tree for our pets is a great way to thank them for their companionship over the last year and recognise the pivotal role pets play in people’s lives." And Petplan dog behaviourist Nick Jones added: "It’s important to make your pet feel that they haven’t been forgotten about amidst the festivities, and this research shows that the country is more conscious of that than ever."Great gifts you can get for your petPetplan pet insurance If you are seeking pet insurance from the specialists, then look no further.
