Your resume should always be tailored to a particular job description to make sure the skills you are listing are in line with what the company demands for the specific position. Make sure to include some of the keywords they are looking for (if they at least moderately apply to you) as most automatic parsing tools will rate your resume before they are seen by the hiring manager. If yours is missing those keywords, it will never make it there. This does not mean that you should copy and paste the job description into your resume, but be attentive to the similarities between your own skills and the ones the position requires. Outline them in your resume. Similarly, there are several opportunities to make your resume more marketable using strong buzzwords such as prestigious school names. We’ll walk you through this process in our next video!
