Are you a supporter of positive reinforcement only or balanced dog training?!?
Here I compare closely the progress of a 4 month old puppy trained by a well known dog trainer for his positive reinforcement only to another well known BALANCED dog trainer. So you can see for yourself what to expect out your puppy depending on which training method you choose.
By the way, balanced dog training is balanced because it involves positive reinforcement as it’s base, for the foundation but then pressure/correction is also used to shape in wanted and unwanted behaviors. Which is explained in this video.
So of course, there’s nothing wrong with positive reinforcement. The problem arises when a trainer or owner is not willing to correct unwanted behaviors and instead wait for them to just go away. Watch the video to see for yourself why that just doesn’t work...
