North Jamuguri PHC Doctor along with accomplice arrested for keeping illegal weapons

Jamugurihat Police based on an information arrested one doctor and one youth after illegal arms were recovered from their possession on Friday.
The accused identified as Dr Rupam Hazarika of (Primary Health Centre, North Jamuguri), is a resident of Majikuchi Dhandi village in Gohpur and Nitumoni Bora of Dholaibeel Chamdhora were booked under case no 283/19 and 284/19 at Jamuguri Police Station and produced before the court on Friday.
Notably, on Tuesday, Dr Rupam Hazarika and Nitumoni Bora blank fired in the air and created a panic amongst the local people and were also involved in threatening the locals at gun point.
Two SBBL guns, one Air gun and one motorcycle was seized during the operation.
