That was a spontaneous little journey to a 1000-year-old yew tree. My hair looks totally messy but I thought so what, this is too awesome to not put it online :D This is one of the oldest trees in all of Austria. Apparently, pilgrims used to cut off pieces the tree bark because they believed that Christian Mary had appeared there. (I don't know, it just does not make sense to me to cut off something from a living being to take the magic "with you"...) After a lightning strike, they had to take action to restore the tree, which is why there are nets all over it. Before the lightning strike, the tree had a diameter of more than 5 metres. ~ FOLLOW ME HERE ~
