Visualisation Why to visualise?
Why Visualisation is important?
How to visualise?

You may have wondered why Matthew Hayden sits on the pitch on the eve of a match. Does he meditate sitting there? Or why that guy in nets is practicing alone without ball is bowled. Why he is doing shadow-practise? What are these guys up to?

All of them use an extremely important tool for preparation, visualisation. Hayden visualised everything, good and bad, that could happen in a match, so as not to be surprised during the match. All of us, knowing or unknowingly, do it.
Same is what that guy is doing visualising every strokes which he want to play during the matches. He made he mind that he will focus, will not play any loose strokes during his inning. U might be also seeing that he is doing self talk. That is too important aspect to keep ur self motivated, cool and calm.
Such visualisation aims to prepare players by decoding the opposition and conditions before game day.
Many times i observed that whenever we are was under pressure we start thinking a lot then none other then visualisation theory comes our mind. We start visualising it, then stimulate it, then practise it, then do it.
This is how Visualisation can help players remain more grounded during matches, keeping their focus upon their normal processes rather than what is new.
We have always learnt from our seniors and coach that our decision-making should be calm and rational as it possibly can be, rather than being emotional and irrational, which is what happens under pressure.
