The multimillion shillings modern Gikomba market under construction will accommodate 2000 traders according to the government. Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary James Macharia who toured the facility says the structure to have six floors will be completed by 2020 and will entail safety features to cushion the small scale traders from losses occasioned by frequent fires.
