Innovation in Blood Cancer Research | Alyssa Questell | TEDxYouth@IndianHillHS Alyssa Questell, an Indian Hill High School senior, was able to conduct biochemistry research for 6 months through which she met inspiring researchers and members of the FDA. In her speech, she discusses the results of her blood cancer research and how it could be applied to our world. Furthermore, after witnessing the lack of funding scientists receive, she decided to lead an annual campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in hopes of raising $50,000.
Only at the age of 17, Alyssa conducted biochemistry research for 6 weeks through which she met researchers, pharmaceutical company reps, and members of the FDA. After witnessing scientists never having enough funds to conduct their research, she decided to lead an annual campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Alyssa hopes to raise $50,000 for research on her own and will be speaking about her research in blood cancer. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
