Hung out with friends or family lately?

Hung out with friends or family lately? (To give me feedback, send me an email to kendra@kendravonesh.com)

I don’t know about you, but over the past few months, I was too busy to stay in touch or find the time to see friends and family. It was tough to make phone calls happen, let alone seeing people in person.

There was always something “to do” and I kept my head down working on my ministry. I kept making excuses that I am doing God’s work—it’s okay.

This past week I chose to put my ministry work on the shelf and spend some quality time with some friends and family. It filled my cup in so many ways. I felt so filled with love and it was a refreshing reminder that our friends and family need to be fit into our schedules!

But this week I have to focus! I need to get back into some serious work! I will be meeting with Anna Nuzzo to work on our song which has been a true blessing. What a talent she is...

I need time to pray deeply for both my book and for my two talks at the Rockford Diocese Presbyter’s Day on September 10th. Monsignor Deutsch, former Episcopal Vicar for Clergy and Religious for the Diocese, heard me speak at a Legatus event and he asked me to come to speak months ago.

To be completely honest—I was shocked! I would have never imagined this would come to me and I graciously and humbly accepted. Please pray for me as the months have passed and this eventful day is right around the corner ... 160 priests and Bishop Malloy will be my audience and they lovingly invited me to stay and enjoy dinner with them! I pray for the Holy Spirit to speak through me…

Ladies, I am curious about your thoughts on Fatherly Spirituality and Love and your needs as a woman on the journey. If you have a moment, please send me an email with your thoughts, below are my topics:

Presentation 1—“Find Something More—A Journey of Sacramental Grace, Healing and Fatherly Love” Kendra will share her surprising journey to Catholicism and her supernatural healing through the Sacramental Graces and gifts from the Holy Spirit. She will open her heart and share the impact on her life with no spiritual male influence most of her life and how priests have been her main source of fatherly spiritual love and the light to guide her way.

Presentation 2—“Women—Their Unique Challenges and Needs for Fatherly Spiritual Love and Community in Today’s Culture” Kendra shares the unique challenges and emotional needs of women in today’s culture. She shares the solitude in the early stages as she struggled to change her ways from Corporate Executive and life in the “No-Faith Fast Lane” to her Catholic ministry—all while most of her family and friends remained on the broad road to destruction. She has met thousands of women through her ministry who all struggle with the need for acceptance, love and community and how to keep God and the Faith at the center of their lives. We are not meant to walk the journey alone.

I am so blessed to have such great family, friends, amazing priests and parishes who have been there to help me on my sometimes lonely journey. I hope this week’s message reminds us all to make time for our loved ones and seek out spiritual communities and companions along the way. Thank you so much, in advance, for your prayers! Have a blessed and inspired day!
