doob Bean Bags Giant Five Stones

doob Bean Bags Giant Five Stones The old school game of Five Stones, now back with a twist!

The traditional kampung game of five stones was a hit, together with other games of heritage like marbles, top spinning, and kite flying. So old, the NLB even dated it back to 1184 BC in Ancient Asia!

Now, doob Bean Bags has brought back this old school game with a set of giant Five Stones bean bags. Now you and your friends and family can play together with the oversized stones! While the original game uses dexterity and fast reflexes, this version requires less speed, loads more grabbing, and hopefully, loads of laughs!

As versatile and multi-purpose as doob’s flagship plopsta’, it’s great family fun for the young and old; throw in some (responsible) booze and it’s a drinking game! It’s really lightweight, so you can bring it out as an outdoor group or party activity, or leave it at home and it doubles up as a living room corner feature for some 80s retro chic.

Rules of Giant Five Stones

1. All players gather in a safe area, free from fragile objects. If there’s a ceiling fan, maybe turn it off first!

2. Decide the order of play. We recommend the youngest starting first.

3. The game progresses through a series of stages. Player 1 attempts to complete as many stages as possible. If Player 1 did not manage to successfully complete a stage, their turn is over, and it becomes Player 2’s turn. Once it is back to Player 1’s turn, Player 1 resumes from the stage that they failed to complete successfully. Standing to play is advised.

4. First Player to complete all the stages wins!

Stage 1

– Toss the stones onto the ground.
– Pick one stone and toss in the air.
– Player then needs to pick up one of the four remaining stones before catching the airborne stone.
– Upon successfully catching the stone, throw a stone up in the air again (this time with one stone in hand), and grab one of the remaining stones before catching the airborne stone.
– Repeat until all the stones are in hand.

Stage 2

– Toss the stones onto the ground.
– Pick one stone to toss in the air.
– Player then needs to pick up two of the four remaining stones before catching the airborne stone.
– Upon successfully catching the stones, throw a stone up in the air again (this time with two stones in hand), and grab the remaining stones before catching the airborne stone.

Stage 3

– Toss the stones onto the ground.
– Pick one stone to toss in the air.
– Player then needs to pick up three of the four remaining stones before catching the airborne stone.
– Upon successfully catching the stones, throw a stone up in the air again (this time with three stones in hand), and grab the remaining stone before catching the airborne stone.

Stage 4

– Toss the stones onto the ground.
– Pick one stone to toss in the air.
– Player then needs to pick up all four remaining stones before catching the airborne stone.

Stage 5

– With all the stones in hand, toss one in the air.
– Place the other four stones on the ground before catching the airborne stone.
– Next, toss the stone into the air again, and pick up the four stones on the ground before catching the airborne stone.

Stage 6

– Toss the stones onto the ground.
– Pick two stones but toss only one in the air.
– Player then needs to swap the stone in hand with one of the three remaining stones on the ground, before catching the airborne stone.
– Repeat two more times by tossing one stone in the air and swapping the stone in hand with each of the other two stones on the floor. You should end each round with two stones in your hand.

Stage 7

– Continuing from Stage 6, toss two stones into the air.
– While the stones are airborne, pick up one of the three stones on the ground before catching the airborne stones.
– With three stones in hand, toss two of the stones into the air, and pick up one of the two stones on the ground before catching the airborne stones.
– Repeat the step with the last stone.

Stage 8

– Toss the stones onto the ground.
– If playing alone, toss the red stone into the air, and grab the remaining stones before catching the airborne stone.
– If playing in a group, have the next player pick a stone for the current player to toss.

5.
– This is Giant Five Stones, so you’re not expected to use only one hand! Use as many as you have.
– Players are encouraged to come up with other rules or stages to make the game more or less challenging as required.
– Players are encouraged to try to distract each other.
– This can be a team game as well!
