New analysis has revealed that the UK's ten warmest years on record have all happened since 2002, while the most recent coolest year was way back in 1963. Met Office experts said the cluster of extreme temperatures were consistent with the warming global climate. So is Britain equipped to cope? And if not, who's coming up with solutions?
The Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, has said that “capitalism is part of the solution” to tackling climate change.
In an exclusive interview with Channel 4 News about climate change, Mr Carney challenged the view of some environmental campaigners that the pursuit of GDP growth is incompatible with tackling climate change.
