News24 - Five things we noticed from Man Utd training as Red Devils touch down in Norway
======================================
Manchester United have undergone their first training session in Norway ahead of their latest pre-season action. The Red Devils flew out to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's homeland on Monday and trained at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo later in the day. They will take on Kristiansund at the venue on Tuesday before returning to the UK to continue their preparations for the new season. It has been a perfect pre-season so far for United under Solskjaer and they will be expected to maintain that winning record. But there are still plenty of talking points surrounding the club this transfer window - here's five things we spotted from their training session in Scandinavia. 1) Hero's welcome Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer received a hero's welcome back home in Norway. Solskjaer, who left Molde to become Red Devils boss, is like royalty in his homeland and received a huge reception as he stopped and signed autographs for waiting fans. 2) Plenty to prove There are still plenty of starting spots up for grabs in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team ahead of their Premier League opener against Chelsea . Amongst those pushing for places are Diogo Dalot and Tahith Chong. Dalot has seen Aaron Wan-Bissaka brought in and emerge as the front-runner to feature at right-back but could push for a start further up the pitch. Chong, meanwhile, has been making the most of his first team experience and could be primed for a breakthrough as he is highly rated by Solskjaer. They were pictured in training together and are two players with a lot to prove in Norway. 3) Past and future? Paul Pogba was spotted having a kick-about with Mason Greenwood as they kept the ball up in the warm up. Greenwood, 17, has impressed in pre-season and is being tipped as a future superstar for the Red Devils. But Pogba remains the subject of transfer speculation with Real Madrid believed to be stepping up their efforts to take him to Spain. Will the Frenchman be yesterday's news? We'll have to wait and see. 4) Happy to be there Andreas Pereira looked to have an uncertain Manchester United future. But he was given a new lease of life by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the second half of last season and was rewarded with a new contract. He's looking to kick-out and carve a role in Solskjaer's first-team - but he's clearly happy to still be at United as he was spotted with a beaming smile in the Norwegian sunshine. 5) Looking to impress Manchester United are in the market to land a new centre-back - but it is unclear whether they will land Harry Maguire or an alternative. Axel Tuanzebe has been given a chance to impress by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in pre-season having been wanted back on loan by newly promoted Aston Villa. He has so far performed well as he looks to work his way into the first-team plans and he is clearly training hard with no breathing space to let-up now as the new season rapidly approaches. If United cannot strengthen before the deadline, the youngst
