🌊 We take some time to really LIVE in the moment with the Bulawan's. We follow up with HarvestFest, where Datu cooks for the first time on this special holiday - dedicated to family, friends and life itself.

Background Story: The weather was warm, the island felt sticky.. and minutes later the active volcano on the secluded island of Mua Pel'Am erupted. Not only did it destroy the land, it took away beloved family and friends. Like the other civilians of this island, Datu Bulawan made the conscious decision to leave the island and it's dangers to provide a better life for his family. Well, the family he had left. His nephew Benjie and niece Sampaguita (Sam) Bulawan. He's still trying to convince his mother, Diwata, to leave the island and join them in Ohan'Ali town for a new way of life. But Diwata is happiest living off the grid, and could NEVER leave her home. Will she give in? Who knows.. but one thing's for sure - Datu made a promise to his older sister. He would raise her kids the way she envisioned. Clumsy, irresponsible Datu has big shoes to fill, but he made a promise.. and Datu never breaks promises 💛
